Congratulations Taylor Chester
Taylor excelled as a multisport athlete at OSDSS, playing key roles on both the rugby and volleyball teams. She also competed locally as a club volleyball player and provincially with Rugby Ontario.
Her intense commitment to training, her athleticism, and her passion for sport were evident in every match and practice. Through hard work and determination, Taylor demonstrated tremendous growth as an athlete and as a leader-qualities that reflect the spirit with which Tyson approached life.
Taylors journey continues at the post-secondary level, where she now competes for the nationally ranked University of Guelph Gryphons women’s rugby team. Her dedication to excellence, both on and off the field, makes her a deserving recipient of this award and a powerful example of the legacy Tyson Downs leaves behind

Tyson passed away in July of 2023 from Sudden Cardiac Arrest, but this award remains in his honour.
